Physician or Physiotherapist?

If you are seriously injured, whether it is at work, during sports, or anywhere else, make sure you visit the emergency room immediately. If the injury is less serious you may want to visit your family physician or walk-in clinic to have the injury evaluated.

What Does a Physician Do?

Physicians diagnose serious injuries and assess for signs of physical or mental trauma. They determine if a patient needs an MRI or x-ray and coordinate your referrals with the various medical specialists. They can also monitor your symptoms and signs while managing self-care, advice, and medications when required.

What Do Our Physiotherapists Do?

Physiotherapists assess function. Through observations, medical history, and physical examination we determine your course of action to get you back on your feet as quickly as possible. We assess what muscles, ligaments, joints, nerves, Etc. have been damaged or irritated and use exercise and self care to help you be the best you can be.
